Creating storage accounts during project setup is a common best practice in data engineering and cloud architecture. This early establishment of storage accounts allows teams to define, configure, and prepare the data storage environment that will be used throughout the project.

Having the storage accounts set up during the initial phases gives the team the opportunity to plan for data ingestion, storage organization, and access control, ensuring that these critical components are in place to support development activities. This proactive approach can foster smoother data handling processes, facilitate testing and validation of workflows, and ultimately lead to a more efficient project lifecycle.

This timing also aligns with agile practices, where setting up foundational elements early can help better accommodate iterative development and allow for adjustments based on evolving project needs. Preparing storage accounts upfront helps avoid bottlenecks later in the project, particularly when it comes to data retrieval and manipulation tasks that are often critical to application functionality and reporting.
